May Day Celebration

High Mowing School, Temple-Wilton Community Farm, and the Flying Gravity Circus present a  collaborative celebration of spring. The May Day festival features traditional maypole and Morris dancing; a theatrical send off to winter; live music; a performance by the Flying Gravity Circus with free, interactive circus arts instruction for kids; a pottery sale; games and activities for kids; baby animals; and food. The day ends with the final performance of High Mowing’s Spring Musical: The Fantasticks. This is the longest-running musical in the world, telling an allegorical tale, a simple story of a boy and girl in love, with all the joys and adversity that go with it. The result is a timeless fable of love that manages to be nostalgic and universal at the same time. The musical is appropriate for all ages.
