DESCRIPTION:Opportunity Networks is an Amherst based non-profit that supports adults living with developmental and acquired disabilities by providing day programming and supported employment. Research shows that adults with developmental disabilities are at a greater risk of cardiovascular problems than the general population.  At Opportunity Networks\, a major focus of our day program is to assist our participants with their overall general health and well-being. This race was created to offer our clients an opportunity to train\, participant\, and complete a race within their local community. Those not running/walking that day\, but who want to be part of this event will be on the course handing out water and cheering on the runners. We are looking to local businesses to sponsor our event. I have enclosed information detailing our numerous sponsorship opportunities which range in price from $100 to $2\,500. With good health\, individuals with disabilities have the freedom to work\, learn and engage actively in their families and their communities. Thank you for your time and your consideration.
